The guards dragged Julian and Victoria out of the courtroom in handcuffs.
Reporters and news cameras flooded into the hallway, flashing lights blinding the corridors.
The Sterling family name was ruined across every major news network in the country within hours.
Evelyn walked out of the courthouse doors into the bright morning sunlight.
The air was fresh, and the rain had finally stopped.
Clara walked beside her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"It's over, Evelyn," Clara said with a warm, genuine smile. "You won."
Evelyn looked down at the sweet baby boy sleeping peacefully in her arms.
He opened his tiny hazel eyes and looked up at her, letting out a soft sigh.
She held him close, feeling his warm heartbeat against her own.
"No," Evelyn whispered softly, tears of true joy spilling down her cheeks.
