Chapter 15 - THE FORGED WILL
"He won't take him," Evelyn said, her voice turning to solid ice.
"I have the proof right here," she added, holding up Victoria's journal.
Clara took the leather book and skimmed through the pages with sharp eyes.
"This is huge... this proves human trafficking and corporate fraud," Clara muttered in amazement.
"Will this stop Julian?" Evelyn asked, holding her baby tightly.
"This will destroy him," Clara replied.
"But we have to get to the courthouse before the emergency injunction is signed at 9:00 AM," Clara said.
"What time is it now?" Evelyn asked, her chest tightening.
Clara checked her watch. "8:15 AM."
"Julian is already at the courthouse with his team of lawyers," Clara added.
"Then we go right now," Evelyn said, standing up despite her injuries.
Suddenly, the black van behind them burst into flames as an incendiary device detonated.

The explosion blew out the windows of the orphanage.
A black SUV tore around the corner, aiming directly for Clara and Evelyn.
