Chapter 8 - The Ultimate Deception
Elena froze, staring at Arthur in absolute horror and betrayal.
Arthur stepped past Elena and stood right next to his mother.
He took the silver flash drive from his pocket and handed it to Victoria.
"She believed every single word I said," Arthur sneered wickedly.
Elena felt as if her soul had been completely ripped out.
"You... you set me up!" Elena screamed, her voice shaking with rage.
"Of course he did, you foolish girl," Victoria chuckled softly.
"Arthur works for me, he always has."
Victoria took a sip of her wine, enjoying Elena's total destruction.
"Where is my daughter?!" Elena demanded, tears pouring down her cheeks.
"She is already on a private jet leaving the country," Victoria replied coolly.
"And you are about to be arrested for breaking and entering."
The head security guard stepped forward and pulled out heavy handcuffs.
Elena backed away until her spine hit the cold stone wall.
She looked around the room frantically, searching for any way out.
The glass window behind her was her only chance.
"You will never get away with this, Victoria!" Elena yelled.

She hurled it with all her strength directly at the window glass.
