Chapter 19 - The Traitor's Mask

The car tore through the storm-drenched streets like a bullet.

Gabriel’s hands trembled violently on the steering wheel.

He dialed Doc Vance’s private line.

It rang... and rang... and rang.

Then the call went straight to voicemail.

"Dammit!" Gabriel slammed his hand onto the steering wheel.

Mia was completely defenseless in that basement clinic.

He had handed his precious daughter right back to the mastermind.

Ten minutes later, the car slammed to a stop outside the pharmacy.

The iron door was unlocked and swinging open slightly in the wind.

Gabriel drew his weapon, his pulse pounding in his ears.

He rushed down the basement stairs, Bruno right at his heels.

The clinic room was torn apart.

Medical monitors were smashed onto the floor.

IV bags were ripped from their stands.

Doc Vance was nowhere to be found.
