Chapter 20 - The Shocking Revelation
Evelyn stood frozen in the middle of the room.
Her eyes darted between her husband and her daughter.
The countdown timer on the wall began chiming loudly: 10... 9... 8...
The man in the wine suit raised his gun higher, aiming at Lily.
"Time's up, bitch," he laughed maniacally.
Suddenly, Jax moved with terrifying speed from the shadows behind.
He did not attack the guards.
Instead, Jax pulled out a hidden remote control of his own.
He clicked it, and the medical pods began to open simultaneously.
Inside the pods were not machines, but cloned figures of Evelyn's husband.
Evelyn stared in horror, her mind completely shattered.
"Which one is real, Evelyn?" Victoria mocked, laughing hysterically.
"You don't even know who you were married to!"
