Chapter 19 - RECKONING
Arthur scrambled backward in his seat, dropping his glass of scotch onto the carpet.
"How... how did you get out?!" Arthur stammered, his regal composure completely shattering.
"My real father built that vault, Arthur," Victoria said, walking down the aisle slowly.
"He knew you were a snake twenty years ago."
"He built a back door for me."
Arthur reached frantically for his gold-headed cane, attempting to draw a hidden blade concealed inside the handle.
Victoria didn't even flinch.
She stepped forward swiftly and kicked the cane violently out of his hands.
The cane flew across the cabin and clattered against the wall.
Arthur fell back into his seat, breathing heavily, looking up at his adopted daughter with sheer panic.
"Victoria... listen to me!" Arthur pleaded, his voice cracking with desperation.
"I raised you! I gave you everything! Education, power, wealth!"
"You used me as a shield to hide your crimes," Victoria hissed, stepping closer.
"You let Julian abuse me for three years just so he would let his guard down!"
"You made me live through hell so you could take over the Vane network!"
"We can share the fifty billion!" Arthur screamed, pointing at the briefcase.
"Half of it is yours! Just let me leave!"
Victoria picked up the metallic briefcase from the seat.
She placed her thumb on the biometric scanner of the briefcase.
"ACCESS DENIED," the briefcase synthesized loudly. "OWNER IDENTIFICATION CHANGED."

"I transferred every single cent of that fifty billion into a public charity fund five minutes ago, Arthur," Victoria revealed smoothly.
"You are completely broke."
