Chapter 15 - The Glass Tower
Richard pulled a sleek, silver briefcase from a hidden safe inside the vault.
Inside lay three encrypted neural-link devices and modified security credentials.
"We have one shot to breach the top floor of the Vance Tower," Richard said.
"Eleanor has locked herself inside the penthouse suite with the master server," Richard explained.
"How do we bypass fifty floors of armed Syndicate security?" Julian asked bitterly.
"We don't climb the tower," Richard answered, looking at his brother.
"We take the skybridge from the adjacent skyscraper," Richard revealed.
Victoria looked out the reinforced window toward the towering skyline.
"She'll be expecting a frontal assault," Victoria noted.
"Which is why you and Julian are going to create a distraction at the main entrance," Richard commanded.
"Are you asking us to sacrifice ourselves for you?" Victoria scoffed.
"I'm asking you to fight for the survival of the empire you tried to steal," Richard retorted.
