Chapter 12 - An Unlikely Alliance
The prison guard stepped in, grabbing Richard's shoulder to pull him back.
"Visiting time is over," the guard barked loudly.
"Wait!" Victoria called out, standing up against the glass.
"I have the key to break you out, Richard," Victoria whispered hurriedly.
"Why would you help me after trying to poison me?" Richard asked, staring at her in disgust.
"Because she betrayed me too!" Victoria snapped, her eyes burning with vengeance.
"She promised me fifty percent of the assets if I helped ruin you!" Victoria admitted.
"Now we're both disposable garbage to her," Victoria said bitterly.
Richard looked at his ex-wife, realizing she was his only chance to regain control.
"How do we get out?" Richard asked grimly.
Victoria reached into her hair, pulling out a tiny silver microchip concealed in her pin.

"He's waiting outside the prison walls right now," Victoria whispered.
