Chapter 18 - The Boardroom Coup
Heavy glass doors slammed open as federal agents entered the top floor of Vanguard Tower.
"Richard Vance and Victoria Vance, you are under federal arrest for asset stripping and corporate sabotage," the lead officer declared.
Richard closed his eyes as cold steel handcuffs clicked around his wrists.
Victoria screamed as female officers pulled her to her feet, placing her under arrest.
She looked at Ethan with wide, tear-filled eyes, desperate for a single drop of pity.
"Ethan, please! I didn't know about fifteen years ago! I was just following my father!" she pleaded.
Ethan turned his head slightly, his brown eyes locking onto hers with deadly calm.
"You knew enough to put a detonator under my car," Ethan reminded her softly.
"You chose your side, Victoria."
The officers pulled Richard and Victoria toward the elevator doors.
