Chapter 19 - The New Dawn
Clara knelt down and wrapped her arms tightly around little Leo.
"I saw it, sweetie! That was an amazing kick!" Clara laughed, kissing his forehead.
Leo giggled and ran back onto the grass to play with the ball.
Julian walked over to Clara, offering his hand to help her stand up.
"Did you hear what he called you?" Julian asked, his voice filled with warmth.
"I did," Clara whispered, wiping a happy tear from her eye. "It felt so right."
Julian pulled a small velvet box from his jacket pocket.
Clara gasped softly, covering her mouth with her hands.
Julian dropped down onto one knee right there on the sunny grass.
"Clara, you came into this house as a servant, but you healed every broken piece of our lives," Julian said gently.
"You protected my son, fought for your truth, and taught me how to love again."
He opened the box, revealing a simple, gorgeous diamond ring sparkling in the sunlight.
"Will you do us the honor of becoming my wife and Leo's mother officially?" Julian asked softly.
Clara looked into his sincere dark eyes, her heart beating with pure happiness.

"Yes, Julian! Yes!" Clara cried softly, stepping into his arms.
Julian stood up and slipped the ring onto her finger, pulling her into a deep, loving kiss.
