Chapter 3 - The Abuser's Indiscretion

The heavy brass doors of the private elevator dinged with a loud, ringing sound.
Julian stormed straight into the penthouse study, his wet designer coat dripping water onto the pristine rug.
His face was flushed red with an explosive mix of unhinged authority and sudden desperation.
"Evelyn! Get your useless, pitiful self over here right this second!" Julian bellowed loudly.
He didn't even bother to acknowledge the formidable figure sitting calmly behind the mahogany desk.
"You had the audacity to steal my spare car keys and run off like a lunatics!" Julian spat viciously.

Julian violently recoiled, utterly startled by the old man's terrifyingly fast movement and presence.
"Keep your hands to yourself while you are in my home, boy," Harrison said, his voice terrifyingly quiet.
Julian sneered, aggressively shaking his head to force himself to recover his lost composure.
"Old man, you need to step back and mind your own business," Julian snapped back arrogantly.
"Evelyn is my legally wedded wife!"
"Her money belongs to me!"
"Her entire life belongs to me!"
"And that massive estate you were staying in is legally under my name as of midnight!"
Harrison let out a soft, low chuckle that held absolutely no warmth or humor whatsoever.
