Victoria slammed her shoulder into the duplicate's chest, sending both of them crashing into the concrete floor.
The detonator skittered away into the darkness.
The duplicate recovered instantly, throwing a razor-sharp elbow toward Victoria’s jaw.
Victoria blocked with her forearm, but the sheer mechanical strength behind the blow forced her back.
This wasn't just a physical double.
Her replacement had been cybernetically enhanced.
The double delivered a brutal kick to Victoria's ribs, sending her rolling across the stone.
Victoria gasped for air, feeling a rib crack under the force.
"You're obsolete, Victoria!" the double shouted, springing up effortlessly.
"You have human limits! You feel pain! You bleed!"
The double lunged forward with blinding speed, her fingers reaching for Victoria's throat.
Victoria ducked under the swing, grabing the fallen tactical knife from her own belt.
She drove the blade upward with all her remaining strength.
The blade pierced deep into the double's shoulder.
Synthetic white fluid mixed with crimson blood spattered across Victoria's face.
The duplicate shrieked in rage, striking Victoria hard across the face with a backhand blow.
Victoria crashed into the wall, her sight swimming with red dots.
