Chapter 15 - THE NEW DAWN
Three years later.
The sun shone brightly over the wide open gardens of the Hale estate, which had been transformed into a community park and children's art foundation.
Laughter rang out across the lawn as dozens of children ran around the manicured grounds during the foundation's annual summer festival.
Lily stood near the grand fountain, holding a clipboard as she coordinated with the event staff.
She looked radiant, happy, and relaxed, her life now dedicated to helping families and children through the foundation Julian had dreamed of creating.
From across the lawn, Marcus walked over, wearing a dark blue suit without his former tactical gear, looking much more like a trusted family friend than a bodyguard.
"The final audit for the annual charity drive just came through, Lily," Marcus said with a warm smile.
"We raised over two million dollars for the children's hospital today."
"That's wonderful, Marcus," Lily replied, her eyes bright with joy.
She turned to look toward the playground area, where six-year-old Mia was leading a group of kids down the slide, her bright laugh ringing through the clear afternoon air.
Mia was strong, confident, and surrounded by love and security—everything her father had wanted for her.
Lily looked up at the vast blue sky, feeling a deep sense of contentment settle into her soul.
