Chapter 14 - THE FAMILY WE CHOSE
Six months passed.
Life became different.
Not perfect.

Lily stopped looking over her shoulder.

She started laughing again.
The little girl I thought I lost came back.
One evening, I sat outside watching her play with Buster.
The sunset covered the backyard in gold.

"She is."

"I don't know if I deserve this."
