Chapter 7: The Wedding That Finally Mattered

One year later.

The Sterling estate looked different.

No reporters.

No society guests.

No performance.

Only family.

Julian stood beneath the same ancient oak trees where his first wedding had fallen apart.

But this time, he was not wearing a mask.

Elena walked toward him.

Simple white dress.

No diamonds.

No expensive designer.

Just herself.

Lily held her hand.

“Are you nervous?”

Julian smiled.

“A little.”

Elena laughed.

“You weren’t nervous marrying Cassandra.”

Julian looked at her.

“Because that wasn't really me.”

The ceremony was small.

Real.

When Julian said his vows, he didn't promise perfection.

He promised honesty.

“I lost three years of my life.”

He looked at Elena.

“But I found the rest of it.”

Lily smiled.

And for the first time in years...

Julian remembered everything.
