Chapter 5: The Woman Who Never Stopped Waiting

Julian found Elena in a small coastal town.
Not in a mansion.
Not surrounded by wealth.
Just a small house near the ocean.
When she opened the door, time stopped.
Neither of them spoke.
Because sometimes love remembers what the mind forgets.
Elena looked at him.
Her eyes filled with tears.
“You really don't remember me.”
Julian wanted to say no.
But his heart said otherwise.
“I’m sorry.”
Those two words broke her.
Not because they fixed everything.
Because they proved he was still there.
Over the next few days, memories slowly returned.
Their first meeting.
Their first kiss.
Their dreams.
Their child.
Julian discovered another truth.
The little girl in the photograph was his daughter.
Her name was Lily.
She was seven years old.
And she had spent her entire life believing her father was gone.
When Julian met her, she looked at him carefully.
“Are you my dad?”
Julian couldn't answer.
He simply knelt down.
And cried.

Not because he remembered everything.
But because he finally understood what he had lost.
