Margaret’s lawyers attacked immediately.
They claimed I was exaggerating.
They claimed the money was a “family agreement.”
They claimed the attack was an accident.

That word made me sick.
During court, Margaret sat beside Daniel.
She looked calm.
Almost confident.

The courtroom became silent.
