Chapter 2: The Secret Behind the Stallion

The next morning, the story had spread across the entire town.
The little girl who calmed the impossible horse.
The child who made a million-dollar stallion kneel.
Reporters arrived.
Horse buyers arrived.
Everyone wanted to see Lily and Shadow.
But Lily didn’t care about the money.
She only cared about one thing.
Finding the truth about her father.
Thomas invited Lily to his farmhouse.
Inside, he opened an old wooden box.
Lily watched as he pulled out a stack of letters.
“These belonged to your father.”
Her eyes widened.
“My father wrote those?”
Thomas nodded.
“I should have given them to you years ago.”
He looked ashamed.
“After the accident… I was afraid.”
Lily picked up one letter.
The handwriting was familiar.
She had seen it on old birthday cards.
Her father’s handwriting.
She opened it carefully.
Inside were only a few lines.
"If anything happens to me, tell Lily that Shadow is not dangerous. He is just waiting for someone he loves to come back."
Tears filled Lily’s eyes.
Thomas lowered his head.
“Your father didn’t abandon him.”
He paused.
“He was trying to save Shadow.”
Lily looked up.
“What happened?”
Thomas took a deep breath.
“Your father discovered someone was secretly hurting the horses to make them easier to control. He tried to expose them.”
“Who?”
Thomas looked toward the window.
At the ranch across the road.
“Victor Hayes.”
Victor was the richest man in the county.
He owned several horse farms.
And he had always wanted Shadow.
Because Shadow was worth millions.
“He caused the accident,” Thomas whispered.
“He wanted your father gone.”
Lily held the letter tightly.
“But my dad survived?”
Thomas looked surprised.
“How did you know?”
“Because he told me.”
The room became silent.
Thomas stared at her.
“When?”
Lily looked down.
“Every night.”
Her voice became smaller.
“He visits my dreams.”
Thomas didn’t know what to say.
Then suddenly…
A loud noise came from outside.
Shadow was screaming.
Everyone rushed outside.
Victor Hayes stood near the fence.
A group of men surrounded him.
The wealthy businessman smiled coldly.
“That horse belongs to me.”
Thomas stepped forward.
“No. He doesn’t.”
Victor laughed.
“You don’t understand. I have legal papers.”
He pulled out a document.
“The original ownership contract.”
Lily looked at Shadow.
The horse was afraid.
For the first time since she arrived.
He was scared.
Then Lily noticed something.
A small scar on Victor’s hand.
The same scar from her father’s old stories.
Her eyes narrowed.
“You were there.”
Victor froze.
“What?”
“You hurt my dad.”
The crowd went silent.
Victor smiled.
“You’re just a child.”
Lily looked at Shadow.
Then at Victor.
“No.”

Her voice became stronger.
“I’m his daughter.”
