She Thought Everyone Died in the Fire—Until a Girl Whispered, “Someone Survived.” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
THE WATCH THAT REMEMBERED A BURIED LIE
Golden light.
Crystal glasses chimed softly.
The air was thick with expensive perfume... and even more expensive lies.
The woman sat wrapped in silk.
Diamonds sparkled against her skin.
A flawless smile hid a heart as cold as ice.
She believed she was untouchable.
She believed the fire had erased everything.
Then—
A shadow fell across the sea of gold.
A thin girl stood there, pale as a ghost.
Her smoke-gray eyes belonged to someone who had seen far too much.
In her trembling hand rested an old pocket watch, its silver surface blackened with soot.
"I think this belongs to you."
The woman's breath caught.
For the first time that night, her perfect mask cracked.
"Where... did you get that?"
The girl never looked away.
"In the ashes," she whispered.
"Behind the warehouse."
The room turned cold.
The woman's fingers tightened around her champagne glass.
"No..."
Her lips trembled.
"I burned everything..."
Her voice splintered like shattered glass.
The girl leaned closer, her eyes never leaving the woman's face.
"No."
A long, heavy silence.
Then she whispered the words that froze every heartbeat in the room.
"Someone survived."
