Chapter 20 - The Legacy Reclaimed

Three months later, the morning sun shone brightly through the glass windows of the Vance Logistics headquarters.
The company had fully recovered from the scandalous plot, reaching record-high market stability and public trust.
Inside the executive corner office, Arthur Vance stood by the window, sipping a hot cup of black coffee.
He turned around as the polished mahogany doors clicked open.
Julian walked into the room, wearing a sharp grey tailored suit, carrying a leather briefcase.
"The new security compliance protocols are fully operational across all international branches, Dad," Julian reported with a smile.
Arthur set his coffee cup down and smiled warmly at his son.
"You shouldn't be calling me 'Dad' in this room anymore, Julian," Arthur said gently.
Arthur reached down to his grand mahogany desk and picked up a heavy gold nameplate.
He placed it on the front edge of the desk facing the doorway.
It read: Julian Vance - Chief Executive Officer.
Julian stopped in his tracks, staring at the golden title in complete shock.
"Dad... are you serious?" Julian asked, his voice full of emotion.
"You proved your strength, your brilliant mind, and your unbroken loyalty when the world believed I was gone," Arthur said proudly.
"This empire isn't mine anymore, Julian," Arthur added, stepping around the desk to hug his son tightly.
"You fought through the dark to save me, and you earned every bit of this legacy."
Julian hugged his father back, looking out the floor-to-ceiling window at the sprawling city skyline below.
