Chapter 4 â The Boardroom Revolt
The following morning, every executive of Vance Global gathered in the headquarters boardroom.
Isabella entered confidently.
She expected another routine meeting.
Instead...
Every chair was occupied.
Every board member looked away from her.
Julian stood at the head of the table.
"I have one announcement."
The company attorney placed several folders in front of each director.
"Mrs. Isabella Vance has abused company staff, misused corporate resources, and violated multiple ethics agreements."
Isabella laughed nervously.
"You can't be serious."
Julian didn't answer.
The attorney continued.
"The board has voted unanimously."
"As of today, Isabella Vance is removed from every executive position."
Her smile vanished.
"You don't have enough votes."
Julian calmly slid another document across the table.
"You signed this clause yourself twelve years ago."
She read it.
Then read it again.
Her knees weakened.
She had unknowingly given the board the power to remove her if misconduct was proven.
