Chapter 2: The Trap They Never Saw Coming

I didn’t confront Celeste.

Not yet.

Anger makes people careless.

And I needed proof.

Real proof.

The kind that would destroy every lie they built.

I installed hidden cameras around the house.

Not because I wanted revenge.

Because I needed to protect my son.

For three days, nothing happened.

Celeste acted like the perfect mother.

She cooked for Noah.

She read him bedtime stories.

She smiled whenever I entered the room.

It was terrifying.

Because I knew it was fake.

Then, on the fourth night…

The cameras caught everything.

At 11:47 PM.

Celeste entered Noah’s room.

She looked around carefully.

Then Mark followed behind her.

My blood turned cold.

They whispered.

“You said the boy would stop crying after the first dose.”

Celeste looked annoyed.

“He’s stronger than we expected.”

Mark laughed quietly.

“Then increase it.”

I closed my eyes.

My hands formed fists.

But I kept watching.

Because I needed them to expose themselves completely.

Celeste opened a small container.

Inside was the same strange substance found in Noah’s chocolate cup.

“I don’t understand why Daniel hasn’t broken yet,” Mark said.

Celeste smiled.

“He will.”

She looked at Noah sleeping.

“He’s too emotional about that child.”

A pause.

Then she added:

“Once everyone believes Daniel is unstable, custody will be easy.”

My entire body froze.

Custody.

That was the plan.

They weren’t trying to hurt Noah.

They were trying to destroy me.

They wanted doctors to believe I was paranoid.

They wanted everyone to think I was dangerous.

They wanted to take my son away.

I copied every recording.

The next morning, I contacted an attorney.

Not an ordinary lawyer.

Someone who specialized in family crimes.

Someone who knew how to fight people who hid behind perfect appearances.

But before I could make my move…

Noah had another episode.

Only this time…

Something was different.

He wasn’t crying.

He wasn’t screaming.

He was scared.

“Daddy…”

I rushed to him.

“What happened?”

He grabbed my hand.

His voice was tiny.

“Mommy said I shouldn’t tell you.”

My heart broke.

“What did she say?”

Noah looked around.

Then whispered:

“She said if I told you, you would leave me.”

I pulled him into my arms.

“Noah, listen to me.”

I held his face gently.

“I will never leave you.”

Tears filled his eyes.

“I knew you would believe me.”

Those words hurt more than anything.

Because my son had been living in fear inside his own home.

That night…

I made my decision.

May you like

I wasn’t just going to expose Celeste.

I was going to make sure Noah never feared anyone again.
