Daniel arrived at Cole Industries less than thirty minutes later.
Police cars already surrounded the building.
Victoria sat inside the executive boardroom, her mascara streaked down her face as detectives searched every file cabinet.
The company's chief financial officer approached Daniel.
"We discovered something after your security team alerted us."
He slid a thick folder across the table.
"For the last three years..."
"Your wife has been secretly transferring company money into offshore accounts."
Daniel opened the documents.

Everything traced back to Victoria.
The detective quietly added,
"We also recovered deleted messages from her phone."
Daniel read the first one.

His stomach turned.
Victoria looked at him with desperate eyes.
"I can explain."

"No."

Weeks later, Victoria was charged with multiple financial crimes, unlawful restraint, assault, and evidence related to obstruction and fraud.
Emily remained at the hospital with Oliver throughout his recovery.
Daniel established a charitable foundation that paid medical expenses for children whose parents could not afford treatment, naming it after Oliver's courage.
On a quiet afternoon several months later, Daniel visited the hospital carrying his twins.
Oliver, now stronger and smiling, waved excitedly from the hospital garden.
Emily looked at Daniel with grateful eyes.
